Collaboration Time!

Greetings readers! I have returned from Fourth Of July celebrations with nary a burn, scratch or injury, thank goodness! While I was away between posts I started speaking with two of my friends who do web comics and we got to talking about items and how some haven't been able to sell things beyond t-shirts or for one person, nothing at all.

So...I have done collaborations with fellow web comic artists in hopes to provide merch for their web comics and fans So far it is going well!

The first one is Blood Bound Comic. KEEP IN MIND IT IS VERY NSFW. However the person/author/creator behind it is a cool person and in wanting to help I have done items for him in my shop and store-envy

Blood Bound is created by Anubis/Justin Kennard and began in 2006 and STILL going strong with updates every tuesday and friday. 8 Years running hey thats a big deal!
So Blood Bound is about Vampires, Succubi, Demons and then some in their own little world with other creatures. As mentioned this is VERY NSFW but worth a read if you are into that. Sorry Twilight fans, no sparkling vamps here. It is noteworthy to mention that this is a DAZ based webcomic, which is new to most web comics because most people are used to hand drawing or drawing with tablets and uploading it where as DAZ you can create the character from templates or scratch (VERY tedious) and put it together in a comic/manga style format via Manga Studio. You can tell at one point when newer character bases were added for a certain character or two. That is what I like to call progress and improvement!

The first items I started on where Pendant/Key Chain Images. For now its just key chains as I am waiting on the chains for the necklaces and more pendant trays to arrive.
The second are laminated flat magnets as it is easier to get the busts of the characters on there instead of trying to fit them all into a small cabochon for a magnet.

The next comic collab is from Keeping Up with Thursday

AKA KUWT
Old website for KUWT

Keeping Up With Thursdays is created by Aaron Mocksing and has been around since 2010 and still going! Five years is still very good. I know for most web comics to make it to the year or two year mark means they have made it as artists. I love how its anthropomorphic characters in the victorian era as well!
And I have a quote from Aaron Mocksing about his comic.
His comic updates on the fury comic link tuesday, thursday and sunday!

'A tribute to the days when cartoons were good but with a fresh spin for adult readers. Two mice, Patrick - the notoriously dangerious criminal in London dubbed 'The Thursday Thief' by the media, and his semi-faithful companion Vinnie, a stranger from American soil who helps commit the crimes... much to his chagrin. Together their past has brought along hardhsips and some triumph, but the two of them will go through a journey of life's little mysteries and difficulties, good and bad. Can one mouse maintain being the king of the mountain as he faces off against the long arm of the law? Can another mouse endure the stress of dealing with his own insecurities and the abuse of many who've given it? This is their story: 'Keeping Up with Thursday'."
(Characters and artwork are © Aaron Mocksing.)

The Items for KUWT are similar to Blood Bound.
Pendants or Key Chains
Laminated Flat Magnets
Also Storenvy
Working on getting some KUWT book marks, a little stuck on that as I want the paper theme to be as close to the victorian theme as possible and thats not easy to find for scrapbook paper. I use scrapbook paper for my book marks as it works better in the lamination process. The mockups are available but not quite done.

So that is it for the collaboration part. There is ONE MORE person I would like to mention. My Good Friend Melissa from facebook and tumblr has a recipe blog to share. How to cook without a kitchen!

Cooking Without a Kitchen
Its great for tips. Without a kitchen meaning no stove or much else but plenty of room for a microwave and plug in space for other cooking items! It may seem rustic but for those in college or areas without a kitchen but have appliances for heat or to cook with this greatly helps!
I know there have been times I have had to survive on a microwave or rice cooker alone.

That is all for this post, see you next time and thank you for reading!
