Found a New Cooking Website for holidays and MORE

Found a new website for cooking ideas!
I like this one for a Halloween snack!

Apple Pie In An Apple! Which came from here: Holiday Cottage: Holidays Throughout The Year

Since the link I found is only for a facebook picture someone was kind enough to post the recipe in the comments section

YOU WILL NEED:
4 large apples
1 (21oz) can of apple pie filling (unless you want to make that from scratch, see below)
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 (14.1 oz) of packaged Pillsbury rolled pie crust (use just 1 of the 2 crusts in the box) Made from scratch pie crust also listed below!
Baking pan as shown in the picture

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR APPLE PIE FILLING FROM SCRATCH HERE IS HOW!
I apologize as the best link for information I could find would flood my blog post so to make it easier here is a link for three different ways to make the filling from scratch!
3 Ways To Make Apple Pie Filling

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR APPLE PIE CRUST FROM SCRATCH HERE IS HOW!
The same with the crust, but this link has pictures for clarification!
Making a Pie Crust Step By Step

Instructions for Apple Pie In An Apple!
1. Take your 4 apples and cut off the top, then carve inside with a spoon.
2. Fill it with apple puree (a.k.a apple sauce with or without cinnamon) unflavored means you add cinnamon to taste preference
2.a OR fill in with your own apple pie filling from scratch.
3. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
4. For the pie crust either use your pie crust from scratched modified for the apple OR
4.a take the pillsbury dough rolled pie crust, cut it in strips and place it on top of the apples just like a regular apple pie crust.
5. Place apples in a baking pan that can hold water on the bottom. Bake for about 20-25 minutes OR until the crust becomes golden.

let me know how yours came out!

Thank you for reading and enjoy!
