First, this will be a two to three part post because of the process. And also as I do not have a video editor (complain complain lol) I figured do the best I could and make a video anyways!
JUST IN CASE the video was not helpful enough I will make sure the name of each item is posted.
The first part is me showing the supplies needed.
- Craft Bottle caps
- Glue: either E-6000 or Goop, and glossy accents glue
- 4x6 cardstock or photo paper for printing images on
- The photoshop image card printed and ready to go
*How to Get the Bottlecap/Magnet Images
- Fiskars 1 inch circle cutter as shown in the video Or scissors
- metal punch as shown from bottlecap co or other craft store 1/16 inch if that helps
- time and patience
First, get your images cut out for your bottle cap(s) and get them all set aside.
Second put your glue down, you don't need that much, try to spread it over the area in a thin layer. Careful these glues named are a bit stringy. Put the image down, gently press down to make sure the image to make sure its all evenly on the bottle cap. Pressing too hard may cause the glue to be pressed into the photo paper which will cause an off coloring over time.
Third, wait. YOU CAN punch a hole in the bottle cap now. HOWEVER this means if you are doing a double image, you will need to make EXTRA sure the backside image lines up properly. This is a good idea to do hole punch now or not that way the images aren't crooked or not all facing the right way.
The next step to be shown later is gluing the image to a double image cap, and adding the glossy images glue in.
I do apologize for splitting this up, I WILL make sure that as I go along that this will be one blog post so LOOK FOR UPDATES!

SECOND HALF!
This is where I explain how to glue the images down, and how to use the glossy accents glue as well as the metal punch.
In this case you want to punch the whole first before putting in the glossy accents because that way you won't mess up the glue trying to hole punch later and the whole punch kind of sets a water mark line for how much glue to use. Which is not that much.
Here I show you how to do a single image bottle cap hole punch first and doing the glossy accents glue.
Put the glue around the edges which will make a seal for the image to the metal then fill in, you don't need alot of glue and don't need to press hard on the bottle. Also DO NOT shake the glossy accents glue because it creates air bubbles which in this particular drying process is BAD.
If there are air bubbles take a tooth pick or as I was using a dental floss pick and pop them, or if the glue is in the middle of the drying process kind of use the point of the tooth pick to drag the air bubble to the edge of the cap and deal remove it. Yes its weird a glue air bubble, with this type of glue that is not unheard of at times.
This glue takes at least 12 hours to dry so you want to find a place where this can set undisturbed for those 12 hours and check on it through out the day. OR like me, if your placement of glue is good enough you can leave it to set over night and come back in the morning.
For the double image bottle cap how the glue is spread out on the top is the same way its spread out for the first image. Again, not much is needed and while placing the glue use the tip of the applicator to spread it around to make sure the area is mostly covered. The whole punch also tells you hey this is the top of the bottle cap so the top of the image goes this way. This has helped me avoid image mess ups in the past.
When placing the image you do not need to press down hard. Instead gently press down. Start from the center and press out that way you aren't putting that much pressure on the image and causing excess glue to be pushed out and its pushing out air so that a seal can be made. When done you may need to center the image again which is fine. If you are off when first placing the image that is OK, its in the beginning that you can easily move the image and correct mistakes now instead of later as this glue is mostly forgiving until it dries.
If there is excess glue wipe it away with a paper towel. IT IS OK if you touch the glue with your hands but as with all crafts involving glue WASH YOUR HANDS AFTERWORDS.
I should have the third part up sometime tomorrow in which I show you how to put the ring through. The extra bonus part will be when I get the necklaces on it as these are going to be with a chain, key chain and leather necklace as it was a custom order!
