The Many Uses of Vinegar!

Today's post is about cleaning with Vinegar! And not in the way you would think either!

1. To unclog your sink drain, use 1/2 cup of baking soda into the drain, then 1 cup of vinegar. When it is done foaming wash it out with hot water!

2. To clean the sticky residue from tape, duct tape or other substance, use white vinegar to clean it. Saturate with the vinegar using a spray bottle, let it sit for a few seconds then scrub it away. (or soak a spot on a rag and wipe it up)

3. Stinky Trash can? Soak a piece of bread with vinegar, let it sit in the bottom of the trash can overnight. This works great for any smelly place. PLACE, not shoes or fabrics, sorry.

4. Vinegar all purpose cleaner! Get a spray bottle and fill with 1/3 vinegar, the rest with water and a few drops of liquid dish soap. Shake a little to mix it up and there you have it!

5. To trap the flies with vinegar. Pour some apple cider vinegar into a small bowl or glass, cover with plastic wrap, poke some holes in it and you have a trap, they get in and cannot get out.

6. It even helps with wrinkled clothes! (mostly cotton blend) Get a spray bottle and fill it with 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water. Hang up the wrinkled item of clothing, mist it and let it hang for a few minutes. Let it air dry and most of the wrinkles flatten out.

7. Vinegar to keep pets off furniture. A little vinegar in a spray bottle, similar to the amount in #6 the wrinkle solution and mist the furniture piece(s) that you want your cat to stay off of. Cats cannot stand the smell of vinegar and will avoid areas that smell of it.

8. Use apple cider vinegar with water in your flower vase to keep your flowers alive longer.

9. White vinegar helps clean your glasses and sun glasses. Spray a soft cloth with white vinegar and carefully wipe the lenses, clean!

10. And FINALLY to help clean off that gunk that just doesn't come off your pots or pans. Use white vinegar to clean it! Add 1 or 2 cups of vinegar and water in equal parts to the pot or pan. IE 1 cup of vinegar and one cup of water. More as needed equally, do not fill to the brim! Boil for ab out 5 minutes and its clean! This works great for coffee pots as well. Of course be sure to rinse the pot, pan, or coffee pot when done.

(Vinegar tubs like this one are sold in most grocery stores, and yes you can create weed killer from apple cider vinegar yet I am not going to use that one today)

These are well known as well as tried/tested and true methods. Here are a list of the places I found these tips
