In other news I released some new items in my etsy shop and the commissions have kept me behind some on my postings.
Fallout New Vegas Bottle Caps and the modded version for the PC Fallout Equestria as seen here. Part of why I have been gone is that the bottle caps be it just one cap or a set take 2-3 days to make because of the glue drying process. However once the glue dries it looks superb!
Working on getting a set of Fallout New Vegas (FONV and FOE)
I also finally got supplies in for my pendants. But as supplies are limited I wanted to test to see how they would turn out before using the new supplies. SO I used the stones meant for magnets and mini-necklaces.
From left to right the colors are Dark Blue, Red, Green, Black, Sparkling Purple and Dark Purple. I tried both sizes to see how it went, so far so good. Decided to use double ribbon necklace or black ribbon cord.
I plan to eventually have an etsy listing for these soon as well as the FONV caps as I have a listing for FOE bottle cap set or singles.
I saw another type of pendant I want to try thanks to the suggestion of The Awkward Extrovert
I want to try and make these
Taken from Morena's Corner
Another friend suggested that I add beads or fake pearls depending on the stone color. I think I can do that. Hopefully it works because I do want to try this!
And for those interested check out the link as it tells you what supplies are needed. The stones can be found at a dollar store, Dollar Tree or somewhere similar. The jewelry bails can be found in craft shops and the jewelry wire and tools can be found at walmart!
For the record I order my supplies from here
Lilly D's Craft Supplies on Etsy
Shipping IS $5.25 BUT the prices are cheaper than you would find in stores or other online stores. She sells in bulk and this is where I ordered my pendant supplies. I have yet to find another place (besides walmart) that sells these with such good quality and for cheaper. I did not order the heart bails I ordered the oblong bails from another site.
So this is what has been going on, and hopefully I will have a video up soon of what I have been doing. Again I apologize and hope to get back to the tips and tricks and general geekyness of my regular posts. Also showcasing other blogs I look at or think others should see.
Thank you for reading and Happy Crafting!
