Shout Outs:
Brandon Willis (Facebook) Of Retrogamecrafts and partner of HB Buttons is one my featured shout outs today!
He runs these businesses creates his stock/merchandise and does all the leg work to keep his suppliers stocked. As in he has several vending machines he stocks, several businesses he has a contract with that sell his stock, they bought his items and sell them and so on.
AND He and his partner will be at CyPhaCon along with Mrs. Morgan Paige Allain of The Inkling Girl with her husband and partner in crime Danny Allain who runs Icarus Wing Productions!
she also has an Etsy Store as well as a Society 6 shop which does prints, mugs and other accessories!
I know and have interacted face to face with these people last year at CyPhaCon and still talk to them now and then on facebook! Basically, I can AND WILL VOUCH for these people and their work! I have one of Brandon's perler bead piranha plants that my husband purchased during CyPhaCon 2012. I also have one of Mrs. Allain's keychains, she paints her own artwork for each piece. She makes a painting, makes a print with size adjustment for her pieces of craft. I say craft because there are too many to list of awesomeness.
Updates:
Putting these together for some of the people attending CyPhaCon as vendors of which I wish to make fan tribute to WITH THEIR permission in using their images!
I have new artwork:
Applejack with markers and done digitally. I drew it, scanned it in then gave it digital color using Manga Studio. It makes it two mediums, hand drawn and digitally done but if I had to chose I would go with hand drawn.
These are two more examples of drawn and digitally done.
The pink for the background effect colors didn't show up well on scanner but it worked out as i like the effect that was given.
Discord was drawn and edited digitally as well. and I left my hand drawn mistakes to prove it wasn't all done digitally. (Best example the line hiccup with the pointed horn on the left)
Fluttershy drawn with markers, and again with digital. I tend to like blurring the eyes as it gives it my personal touch while still keeping to the color scheme of the character. Plus makes the eyes seem less toonish and makes it my own personal style and less copying or taking the vector.
Princess Luna and Pinkie Pie with the correct color hues. For the longest time it has been difficult to get Luna's, Pinkie Pie's, Applejacks, Twilight Sparkle's and Spike's color scheme just right with the marker hues. With the digital version its SPOT ON.
The same with Discord and his color scheme. As with some of the characters I had to blend colors to make it work. (Not showing the Discord color test here sorry) And Rainbow Dash. The digital method as I like to call it puts an end to the marker overlapping shade issue, incorrect or slightly off colors, saves me ink and having to restock my colors repeatedly AND it takes less time! Most of the time.
Plus it makes Blending SO MUCH EASIER!
It gives me the chance to better learn manga studio AND CONTINUE to improve my drawing skills! And keep up with the changing styles of MLP (as in shading and more movements)
Above, V.2 of Fallout Equestria caps thanks to Turbo740 on Deviantart, gotta give credit where its due! Below is also the V.2 set of Fallout Bottle Caps. I get confused which is Fallout and Fallout New Vegas so I just say Fallout now.
My Little Pony Cutie Mark Necklaces now have more options for Cutie Marks!
There are now MLP:FiM Cutie Mark Key Chains and Magnets. The magnets are way smaller that the previous magnets I used to make.
For BOTH the Cutie Mark and Pokèmon pendants and Key chains they pendant part is a Silver textured pendant (the necklaces are antique silver) that is 25mm/ 1 inch in diameter. The necklaces come with a 24' rolo chain while the key chain comes with a silver lobster swivel clasp and key ring.
BOTH use a 25mm/ 1 inch domed glass cabochon.
The Magnets use a 25mm/1 inch in diameter flat glass cabochon that is 5mm thick and magnet on the back.
And the bottom picture shows how small they actually are, 2 centimeters in length and as shown the magnet on the back.
Well that is it for this post, CyPhaCon is only a few days away! (April 4th to the 6th) by this post and most of my time is now devoted preparing for those days as a volunteer staff member! Pictures will be posted afterwords!
