Tuesday Craft Sessions and Updates

Salutations all! Going to give a shout out to my readers today! That's right, those in the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, Canada, Brazil and across the United States! Thank you for reading!

As tuesday is often a slow day for me I figured why not take a moment and get some of my latest works out there And show the process of how I do my digital art. This will spanning a few posts as it does take time to get it done.
However I do want to kindly remind my readers who are interested or know others who are interested that I still have plenty of Mario, Zelda and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Bottlecaps.

                                           

                                           

This time I only made bottle caps with a regular and crystal version of the Mane 6, Spike, Shinning Armor & Cadence and a few of The Princesses Luna and Celestia. Also did several of Derpy.

                                     

                                      

With Zelda I did mostly Link, Zelda a few villains - Ganon, Vaati, Lord Ghirahim. A few of Tingle, Navi, Midna and the Postman. I did one each of the Skyward Sword Shield and Hyrule symbol. For Mario I did Mario, Luigi and one each of the princesses. Mushrooms, Invincible stars and some of the villains.

These are OC ponies done for some friends. The first set is pony-fied versions of two well known characters, the second one is Shadow Stripes using his Unicorn Magic to cast shadow wing which is why there is the magic aura around his horn and wings.

Now this is the first step in my art commissions. Draw it and scan it in. Sometimes I will ink it if need be but that is only on request now of its going to be a badge. Once scanned in I go over it digitally in photoshop and color it. These next steps will be seen in a future post.


Things to know specifically about my pony art and why.

My personal rules with Ponies and my pony art are as such:
1. No Alicorns* (THE ONLY exception being that the character I did above requires being an alicorn due to how powerful he is and it would be needed to sustain his body. It is mostly used to keep him alive more than anything so if he has any power its mostly physical. this character is based off a character in Heavenly Bride By Katrina )
2. Nothing past hugs, kisses or embracing.
3. No gore, blood or wounding or overly violent.
*No alicorns, I don't create alicorns UNLESS its a verified and accepted oc pony with decent background. IE Oh your character is an alicorn? whats the backstory how does it fit into this and so on. There has been one I did as a commission and his Alicorn had a backstory, genealogy and love interest with one of the main ponies. He just wanted me to draw my version of art style for him.
Past that if I am creating a pony version of someone I try to avoid alicorns. Its not because I dislike them its because the more alicorns there are the less fun it is, everyone is too powerful instead of just having regular characters we have too many god-tiers if that makes sense.
The other personal rules are more for myself and not wanting to sully ponies and keep it clean. Yes just like people Ponies can love and get married and so on but there is a limit to how much public displays of affection I can put up with before it borders on sexual. The no blood and no violence is basically...come on its a kids show and although we have adult fans I personally want to keep this clean for my daughter and myself fans or not. This is my choice, I realize that there are fans out there who have many versions of the above but for me I don't let it bother me. Its called if I don't like it I can NOT LOOK AT IT, HIDE IT OR go do something else. Yes it bothers me but I don't HAVE to look at it. Easier said than done, yet for me this solves a good deal of future issues and prevents rants most of the time.

Back to the point, I DO take commissions! Not just pony art but in my crafts. I can put a picture to a bottle cap, a magnet and mini stone. I can take odd requests within reason and if the cost is a bit high its mostly to cover the cost of supplies and postage more than anything.
