Greetings all! Today is Trivia Day as seen on my posting schedule. For this Saturday I am going to do My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. *waits for groans and disbelief to subside* HEY I understand not everyone likes it let alone tolerate it, however I am doing this first to get it out of the way. That way in the future most of the trivia will be done and if there is more to add in the future it will mostly be the animation goof ups and what not. So fear not! This My Little Pony Generation 4 is specifically about:

My Little Pony Characters Through The Ages & New Character Creation Featuring the Mane 6!

Before I begin I'm going to break some things down. There are 4 Generations aka Gens or for the super short version G.
My Little Pony G1
My Little Pony G2, G3 (the overall vastly disliked and controversial G 3.5) and G4 which is often referred to as MLP:FiM.
ALSO for quick reference for the Mane 6
AJ = Apple Jack
FS = Fluttershy
PP = Pinkie Pie
RD = Rainbow Dash
R = Rarity
TS = Twilight Sparkle

So now you know what I'm talking about when I use the above version acronyms. Lets begin!

Did you know Apple Jack and Twilight Sparkle were G1 ponies that made it all the way to G4? Spike is not a pony, BUT he also made his way along with AJ and TS from G1 since My Little Pony's creation in 1980

Fluttershy's turn! Fluttershy was originally an earth pony in her draft sketches. Not sure when it was decided that she would be a pegasus instead.

Pinkie Pie was originally not in the draft sketches. When she was added later on as PP and was meant to be a pegasus. PP is a combination of Surprise and her G3 version. Many people (or just myself) are/were calling the original PP who had a golden mane and tail with white body color "Golden Wishes."
She was originally going to be named Surprise but that had to be scrapped due to trademark issues thus Pinkie Pie was used instead and she is the Pink awesomeness we know today.

Rainbow Dash was originally an earth pony she was changed to a pegasus for G4. RD is a combination of G1 Firefly and G2-3 Rainbow Dash who was originally an earth pony

Rarity did not originally look the way she does now. She was modeled after Sparkler from G1 Glory and her G3 version.

Twilight Sparkle as we know along with AJ is from G1. HOWEVER TS is named after her mother and G3 version, Twilight Twinkle. TS,'s mother has the G1 original coloring and TS was originally going to have this same coloring but that didn't happen. By the way TS's parents are Twilight Velvet and Night Light.

LESSER KNOWN FACTS aka RANDOM FACTS

AJ is named after a strong alcoholic drink made from distilled cider

Apple cider only foams if it contains alcohol. so in the episode "Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000"  those ponies were getting DRUNK
